Dagmar Scheibert researches, conceives and realises mostly feature length documentaries. She also has produced her own short films, which are in competition at international festivals. Since 2003 she has been a member of AG-DOK.

After traveling and (language) studies abroad, she studied social and business communication at the University of the Arts Berlin. Her studies were focused on identification processes in film in the visual communication class of Bernward Wember. In between additional seminars in dramaturgy, she has completed further training as a script consultant in 2012.

As a freelance journalist and author for print media and public broadcasters, Dagmar Scheibert produces numerous short reports as well as 30 min. features (with a focus on society and culture). Her projects are supported by scholarships (e.g. 2019 Berlin Women Artists' Grant) in order to conduct intensive research and long-term observations. She enjoys working in tandem with emerging directors and is an advocate for independent documentary films.
